| The Chattering Class is a delightful acoustic group formed in Victoria, B.C. in 2001 by Graeme Card, Rose Birney and, original member, Gordie Pendleton. Now performing as a duo, their eclectic, self-penned repertoire of roots-folk, ragtime and country music takes an off-beat, humourous and sometimes poignant look at life and relationships. Strong harmonies are accompanied by guitar, mandolin, harmonica and kazoo. Often described as uplifting, they've engaged audiences at folk clubs on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, as well as the Filburg and Island's Folk Festivals and the CBC's "Madly Off In All Directions." The Chattering Class has two CD's available. |
